Paul Glover brings his experience as a corporate director, strategic advisor and health leadership volunteer to the VON Board of Directors.

Paul Glover is a corporate director, strategic advisor and former senior civil servant. He recently served as the president and deputy minister of Shared Services Canada, which delivers digital services to Government of Canada organizations. Paul has also served as president of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and associate deputy minister at Health Canada.

For 15 years, Paul helped to deliver health services to First Nations and Inuit peoples. He led the introduction of numerous programs, including Head Start On Reserve, and others that address home care, diabetes, suicide prevention and addiction. He was the health lead for the response to the Royal Commission on Residential Schools and spearheaded the creation of the Aboriginal Healing Foundation. He has served as head of delegation and Canadian representative for numerous trade missions and international meetings. Paul’s directorships include the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Canada Health Infoway and the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

Paul holds an MBA from Queen’s University and studied computer science at Collège de l’Outaouais. He is an ICD.D designated corporate director.
