Good Beginnings Program

Good Beginnings offers hands-on assistance to families, overwhelmed by caring for newborns, who aren't getting support from family or friends. Volunteers, screened and trained by VON, visit families with newborns at least once a week to assist the new mom or dad. Families without physicians can get primary health care from a VON nurse practitioner.

Why it Matters:

A new baby is a wonderful gift, but also a tremendous transition. Our volunteers and nurses can help you adjust, give you time to take care of your own needs, and get your baby off to a healthy start.
