Special Steps

This is a walking or visiting program for seniors experiencing memory impairments. The program consists of in-home, regularly scheduled visits by specially trained volunteers.

Why it Matters:

Walking is a great way to stay in shape, but walking alone can be dangerous for clients with Alzheimer disease, dementia or other memory impairments. This program lets clients continue with the exercise they love, with supervision by volunteers to make sure they get home safe.
