VON Canada professional staff and volunteers coordinate activities such as exercise classes, card and word games, communal outings and crafts for seniors and adults living with a disability or with Alzheimer's Disease, dementia or cognitive impairment.

|DNA Paternity Testing||
Trained staff take finger prints, cheek swabs and pictures of the patents and children for DNA testing, where paternity needs to be determined.

VON nurses provide assessment, care and advice for clients of all ages, including people who suffer from chronic diseases like diabetes, who need to pay particular attention to their feet.

A VON registered nurse can give vaccinations in the workplace or other community settings. Immunization programs include flu shots, hepatitis, tetanus and diphtheria, pneumonia, chickenpox, meningitis and travel vaccines.

|In-Home Foot Care||
A VON nurse or other health professional visits clients at home to assess the individual's general health, provide expert foot care and counsel clients on how to care for their feet themselves.

|Specialized Palliative Care Nursing and Volunteer Services||
A professional and caring VON nurse works with you to address your loved one’s needs during their end-stage of life helping to keep them pain-free and comfortable.

Volunteers and paid drivers provide seniors and adults with disabilities transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, adult day programs, and other appointments.

The Vial of Life program stores vital health information including physician and pharmacist contacts, allergies and other medical information in a vial in the refrigerator.
