Nurse Practitioner Program
VON has Nurse Practitioners who provide Primary Health Care in a variety of settings. Primary Health Care providers deliver primary care with a focus on health promotion and prevention across the lifespan. There is also a NP Chronic Pain program in the Southwest of Ontario. Primary care providers, including nurse practitioners, help patients prevent illness and help them navigate the health care system. Appropriate assessment, diagnosis, management and evaluation of people of all ages is an important part of managing health. NPs may also help patients and their families access other providers and services that are important in the management of health conditions.
