Familyhome Program
The Familyhome Program brings together a family and an individual with developmental disability to live together in a family setting. Each person is matched to a compatible family that has been screened by VON. The definition of family is broad - it could be a couple with children, a single person, or empty nesters. When a compatible match is found, a gradual transition occurs until the person moves in and begins to become part of the family. The screening process includes a criminal reference check and a personal interview.

Often seniors and adults with disabilities become isolated, which is detrimental to their mental and physical health. The Familyhome Program will provide a safe, healthy and respectful home to individuals with developmental disabilities.
