Last month, Dr. Frances (Fran) Gregor, Chair of the VON Connect Nova Scotia campaign, hosted a reception to thank some key campaign donors. The attendees were inaugural donors to the campaign and helped contribute to the first $1 million of our $4 million goal for VON Connect in Nova Scotia.
 
Despite the messy February weather outside, donors and staff members alike appreciated the event, and enjoyed delicious pastries and tea provided by a local caterer. Fran began the event’s remarks with a gracious thank you to the donors. VON’s President and CEO Jo-Anne Poirier, who was joined by Vice President Marilyn Binnie and Regional Executive Directors Carol Curley and Jeff Densmore, spoke about the importance of the campaign and the digital platform VON is adopting across the organization. 
 
Many donors expressed their personal connections to VON and praised its importance to the healthcare system and the clients and families we serve. The VON Connect campaign is well underway and aims to raise $10 million for a digital health platform to revolutionize care across the organization over the next two years.
