You can create a lasting legacy that demonstrates your kindness and concern for others by leaving a gift to VON in your will, which will have a positive impact on your community and future generations.
It can be any amount, big or small, and you can either request that it be designated to a specific VON program or simply to the area of greatest need. Gifts in Will are simple to arrange, your estate will receive a tax credit, and because they’re flexible, you can change them at any time.
Joyce Norris was a nurse, and when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer at age 50, she trusted VON's home care and services to help her stay in her own home as long as possible. Knowing that it was thanks to VON that she was able to enjoy so many precious months in the comfort of her own home, Joyce decided to include VON in her will. And her legacy of caring lives on.
"I deliver, pay, or transfer the sum of $_____ (or a share of ___% of the estate) to the Victorian Order of Nurses of Canada, whose head office is currently located at 2315 Saint-Laurent Boulevard, Suite 100, Ottawa, ON K1G 4J8, for the general purposes of the organization. A receipt from an appropriate officer of the Victorian Order of Nurses of Canada will constitute sufficient discharge of my trustees."
